Our story

Built for a changing destination

Rediscover Krabi began during the COVID-era, when Kevin Rautenbach was President of Skål International Krabi. It was created as an independent destination platform to help travellers discover more than the familiar Ao Nang itinerary.

Today, Rediscover Krabi brings together practical travel information, local knowledge and carefully considered recommendations for hotels, tours, dining and experiences across the province.

Founder Kevin Rautenbach brings decades of hospitality and tourism experience spanning hotel operations, sales and marketing, revenue management, business development and travel e-commerce. His career has included international hospitality brands such as Sheraton and The Luxury Collection, as well as leading regional online travel businesses including Wotif.com, Phuket.com and Bangkok.com. Having lived and worked in Thailand since 2005, Kevin combines international tourism experience with extensive knowledge of Thailand’s hospitality industry and the Krabi destination.
